While thinking about this topic, the first thing that popped into my head is actually the cartoon movie Doroman, which is a beloved story for children. The main character of this story is a blue, chubby cat robot with the personality of a boy. Interestingly, the voice actor for this character, Yamashita, is actually an old lady with a magnetic voice. I was truly surprised when I first Learned of this fact.
The robot comes from the future to help a young boy named Nobeta. I see a lot of myself in his character as he also faced challenges like being bullied at school, being clueless about learning, having no friends and receiving harsh criticism from teachers and family members. To be honest, I found myself through him.
But one day, Doraemon arrives at Nobita's home with a time machine and a pocketful of magical tools. For example, hats that allow people to fly in the sky, doors that transport them anywhere in the world, bread that helps them remember anything, and notebooks that fulfill their dreams.
Apart from this, the boy was able to find a bosom friend who is always there for him through the good and bad experiences he will encounter, and from which he can gain a plethora of moral lessons.
Together, the characters embark on various adventures, from traveling back in time to the age of dinosaurs, to creating a new country in ancient times, to building castles in the sky and even camping under the sea, the stories are truly captivating and inspiring.
I used to sink myself into the adventures one by one and imagine myself as the character on the screen. And the story has been a source of comfort for me during difficult times, and I'm grateful to have stumbled upon it in my brother's VCD collection. It remains my favorite to this day, and I still be drawn to its wonderland and heartwarming world.
