It all started when I was a college student and I discovered my passion for writing. I enjoyed writing about a wide range of topics from technical notes to reflections on social phenomena. Despite having a small readership, I love the interaction with my readers.
One day, the idea crossed my mind, could I become a professional writer? However, I soon realized that the salary for a full time writer was not high enough. So I decided to become an engineer instead. Fast forward to the present, the pandemic and the war have left the global economy in a downturn, and my company was not spared. I found myself laid off, which at first seemed like a terrible turn of events, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. As an engineer, the job was demanding and exhausting and I felt drained most of the time. But with my newfound free time, I decided to submit an article on a popular website. To my surprise, the article received a huge response with over 60000 views in just one day. Many people gave me positive feedback, telling me that the article accurately described their problems and provided practical solutions.
Inspired by this success, I made the bold decision to become a professional writer. Although my income has taken a hit, I have never been happier. The job requires me to tell stories and explain how things work in simple terms, which is an easy task for me as a psychology major. Nowadays, I work as a freelance writer, and I love the flexibility it provides. I travel around the city, taking in new sights and sounds and writing about my experiences. Becoming a writer was the most important decision I have made, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
